xbmc AND kodi entries in atv2 firmware display
#1
I managed to update my atv2 with "org.xbmc.kodi-atv2_14.0-0~b1_iphoneos-arm.deb"
I had issues and resolved them as described here: Kodi Helix ATV2 dependency problems when installing thanks to Memphiz reply.

Now on start up in Atv2 firmware I have two entries: "KODI" and "XBMC" along with "SETTINGS".

Question: can I remove "XBMC" entry as it is no longer needed? And if yes: how?

thank you.

You can (and should!) remove it by doing

apt-get remove org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

You will notice that it doesn't even work anymore because side by side installation of kodi and xbmc is not supported (kodi will work - xbmc won't).

Thank you Memphiz!
another thing:
In doing as you suggested in putty this message came up:
"The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
org.xbmc.xbmc-seatbeltunlock com.firecore.freemem-watcher
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them."

Is it safe to do itHuh
