hi,
i was wondering if any of the brains out there might be able to put the following streams into a script file..

they are:

http://www.tg4.tv
&
http://www.channel4.com/livetv

tg4 (irish gaelic speaking channel) may do some ip address checking, but i have had reports from people in the uk and us that they can see it.

channel 4 requires you to authenticate with user name and password. it also needs a british postal code when registering but you can find one on any british website almost. it does not seem to filter by ip address.

anyway, thats all. had i the ability i would try myself, but i am a failed programmer many many times over.

just tried channel 4 from an greek ip and it wouldn't let me view it.

maybe uk only?

hmm. i dunno.. it works from me and i am in ireland. maybe they are being a little lenient or maybe their geography is just bad

when you registered, did you use a british postcode?

yup, used my uk postcode (well, my isle of man one - but on second thoughts, maybe that is the problem)

will try it again with a uk one.

just tried with a uk postcode, no joy.

still, it'd be a great addition to ooba for when i'm back in the uk! (and if anyone knows a way around it, or a fast proxy, i'd love to hear from you!
