I have a few machines running Gotham, set up with a media server that hosts my library as well as the database, which is brilliant, however, one thing I'd like to do is have a form of multiroom functionality.
I can do a VLC stream on the server, though the little microserver N54l struggles at times, depending on the video being served and/or transcoded.
The database knows where I am in a movie, but only updates this on stopping the video. Is there a way to make it so that when I press play on a file currently being played on a different xbmc instance, an option appears to 'continue from current' and have the two systems effectively playing the same media file at roughly the same time? It does not have to be perfectly synced (though that would be nice for audio), but if it could be down to less than a second, that would be usable?
