Hi!
First of all - XBMC is great app nad Im lovin it!
I bought Tronsmart Orion R28 Pro with KitKat on board. Ive installed Gotham 13.2 and later Helix Beta 3 and both playing videos very smooth ...but when Im starting to seek movie (+10s forward or -10s backward) it almost every time crashes. It has to be something with MediaCodec acceleration - when I turn it off MediaCodec I can seek movie but then sometimes movie freezes after +10 or -10 jump.

Any tips?

Im testing spmc right now ...it seems to be movie-seeking-crash free

IIRC, MediaCodec has a problem on those devices. Disabling it on an official gotham/Helix might solve the crashes, too.

SPMC works very good! It gives no crashes when seek movie.
Im still testing it. I watched 1080p (mp4, x264) movie with no problem - some frames skipping occurred occasionally. Need more investigating about that Maybe some background app causing it.

I have the same problem. I have a UBOX 4K RK3288

Try using SPMC v13.3.4 beta 1, not on Google Play but freaktab forum.
Works great.
