On Intel NUC, running OpenElec latest version. When I put my memory stick in the USB port to transfer media or zip files etc., I don't see it when I go to add ZIPs, or in the file manager. Should I? It's mounted in Linux, I can see it in the mount table at /var/media/OpenElc/sdb1 or something like that.

The other way to do it is to transfer the file over the network, eliminate the sneakernet!

Yes, you should be able to see the USB stick when you use "install from zip". It should automatically be listed with all the other default sources.
