I know I am using an old version but the only skin that I have found that works well in my setup will not work on later versions of Kodi/XBMC. In the past couple weeks there are now two alert boxes that come up saying this version is no longer supported. That is fine with me but I need this version and would like to have the alert boxes to stop popping up. Is there any way to get rid of these alerts, short of updating versions, so I don't have to click through them each time I load XBMC?

Sounds like the version check addon. You should be able to disable that addon in system->addons->enabled addons->services->servicecheck (something like that - unsure about the naming in eden).
