If you map the volume function to any other keys (other than the ones I mentioned) its VERY fast responding.
Its a hardware issue IMO.

Damn shame really, is this in combo with the Flirc dongle or some other IR receiver ?

the chrome box has inbuilt bluetooth. i would much prefer to use that than mess with a flirc device as i can hide the whole thing in a cupboard, besides in the UK the flirc is actually dearer than the PS3 remote

Hello.

I have been through an ocean of remotes and ended up with Logitech k400 keyboard with build in pad.

I have tried Harmony touch fancy thing, responds to slow, no matter what setting.

Many random universal remotes.

The only thing that came close to work "imo" are the Flirc reciver.

But i missed the ability to write on full keyboard, hence the logitech K400, and its great i know its not a 1 hand remote but it works and if you are running xbmc on a full OS its greatSmile

So thats my experinceSmile

Allow me to plug Yatse for a minute. It's amazing! I use my Chromebox only for music playback and Yatse's tight synchronization that keeps a copy the database of tracks, album art, etc on the phone/tablet is fantastic. The music might as well be on the tablet. It makes it super easy to find tracks and albums and control what's playing.

If you can get one of the Black Friday deals, for $9 more you might as well get the Fire TV stick since its $24.

Question

Do you use it with chromebox internal wireless adapter or do you use the USB stick that comes (I suppose) with the keyboard?
Can you wake up chromebox from sleep using k400 keyboard?
Thanks

the K400 is RF, not BT, so you have to use the included Logitech Unifying receiver. It should wake from sleep, just read the wiki for known issues with the K400

I settled for a virgin media tivo remote, plus i got it for free.
http://www.tivocentral.co.uk/virgin-tivo-remote.htm

along with hp ir receiver for £8 from ebay.

Once mapped in kodi, it works amazing well with kodi. Plus it can turn my tv on from standbye and put kodi into standbye. The volume can be mapped to the tv volume via universal codes.
