Linux updating XBMC on debian station
#1
Hello,
I have a system based on intel I5 Debian.
I have to install the last version of XBMC to see television on it.

I install xbmc using apt-get install XBMC command.

This command installed a very old version of XBMC, even after apt-get update and upgrade.

I updated source.list with:
# for Wheezy, it also needs packages from wheezy-backports
deb https://people.debian.org/~rbalint/ppa/xbmc-ffmpeg xbmc-ffmpeg-wheezy-backports/
deb http://http.debian.net/debian wheezy-backports main contrib non-free

But I am not able to install the latest version of XBMC.

Any help will be welcome !

Best regards and many thanks for your help.

Hai,
I suggest, give it up on debian. For XBMC/Kodi use Ubuntu, yes, i know, i also dont like Ubuntu, but for xbmc its the best imo.

see the xbmc oss thread for a 100% perfect easy install. ( works for nvidia, intel, amd )
