Bug Library Update not working in Kodi Final release on FTPS source
#46
I'm also experiencing this issue. I'm running OpenELEC on x86 hardware and use a SMB share on a Windows file server to host all of my movies and TV shows. I haven't done any testing with the TV shows but whenever I add movies to my "Movies" folder, they do not show up in Kodi's Movie section on the home screen. I have to manually go into Videos -> Files, right-click on the newly added movie, select "Movie Information" and essentially force Kodi to look up the movie info one at a time. Clicking the "Update Library" option does not work.

Although I have no technical knowledge of how this application works, something tells me that it might be looking for modified dates on the parent folder. Going over SMB I can see how this might be an issue. Especially if the SMB is not permanently mounted and Kodi is just making smb:// calls. Again, I'm just making assumptions.

Below are the details of my setup. I'd really like to get this working since manually adding movies in the quantities I do would be very cumbersome.

OpenELEC 5.0.8
Kodi 14.2 Git:7cc53a9 (Mar 31 2015)

Intel Q9550 Core2 quad-core CPU
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard
8GB RAM
ATi Radeon HD 6770
8GB USB Boot device
