Linux Crackling audio for 5 seconds (approx) frequently
#1
Hi all,

I updated my Acer Revo with Gotham 13.0 and I've been having a really strange issue occurring.
It doesn't matter what I'm watching; a YouTube stream, an MKV rip of a Bluray/DVD, or anything download but every so often the audio will start becoming distorted for around 5 seconds and then returns back to normal.

I've got no idea why this is happening, my Revo is connected by HDMI and I've tried changing the cable but to no avail Sad

Here is the link to the log file: Log File

Cheers for the help

Can you please update to at least version 13.2?
Additionally upgrade your mesa to 10.1.3

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Then report back please. The 3.13 kernel has issues with vsync on raden vdpau which was fixed in later revisions, but step by step. Please get the updated packages first. If you can - already upgrade to kodi as we are already in RC state and it needs especially AMD testing.

After you report back with either 13.2 xor 14-rc2 kodi and mesa 10.1.3 we will update the kernel.

If you have a bios setting concerning UMA size, please set that to 512 MB, too.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
