What you are arguing makes no sense. The reason you can't preinstall addons to Firefox is the exact same reason you can't preinstall addons to Kodi. It's purely a legal thing relating to the trademark.

So long as we control the trademark, eBay very much has to keep dropping those listings. And as Kodi is in the process of becoming a registered trademark, our control over the name will be just as iron bound as Mozilla's.

Why does it not make sense? It would disable those boxes, and send a strong message to anyone having similar ideas that you do not support piracy. I'm thinking that most of the people who bought those boxes have absolutely no idea what your stand is on piracy.

If it's not technically possible, I would understand.

It's certainly technically possible and I can do it within a minute.
However this is not how we want to operate. We don't go break x amount of boxes because people are being mislead. The guys behind it should be taken down.
