Are there any plans to implement HRTF for listening to audio via headphones ? I know the 'vdownmix' alsa plugin is available, but it is a pig to get working (for me at least) and I still haven't managed it. Virtual surround sounds so much better than simple stereo downmixing (in my opinion).

perfect example of nonsense (imo!) that will be possible through the audio dsp support under construction.
