Hi Everyone,

I have been looking at buying a android box with the intent to use it solely for XBMC, I was wondering what are my options? I have found two that i like the look of and they seem fairly good. My knowledge on these boxes is poor to say the least so any advice given is greatly appreciated! I would like to buy a box that is fully loaded as well.

Thanks in advance everyone

If you buy one of those fully loaded boxes, you wont get any support for them in here because they fill these little thingys with lots of crap and illegal addons like navi-x and other shit which could cause issues. So you are free to buy them, but don't complain here if they won't work. You're on your own and have to ask the seller for any support with these things.

Greetings

@willdigg, David1977 is spot on with advice @100%

They state from that first link:

Quote:FULLY LOADED JUST CONNECT INTERNET AND GO, XBMC LETS YOU WATCH ANY MOVIES OR TV SHOW YOU LIKE

It really is NOT that simple!

What will happen if you buy one of those boxes is that it may work for a while and you will love it and be really pleased. THEN at some point within a few months max it will break.

You'll tear your hair out trying to fix it and THEN you WILL come here asking for answers and we will all tell you to go to where you got it from. Obviously they won't want to know you, will ignore you, and then you'll probably get really annoyed and dump the thing in a bin, which is a terrible waste of money, not to even mention the absolute shame of dumping perfectly working electronic goods into landfill :-(

Do your research

Have you considered Amazon Fire TV (AFTV) alot of positive reviews. Really easy to side load Kodi, http://www.aftvnews.com/adbfire-simplifi...e-fire-tv/

AFTV Wiki explains things really well. I agree better to load Kodi yyourself than having it already installed.

Can I ask why you want to go with Android?

If its XBMC use only you want with no compromises, just get a Chromebox.

It will just work, keep on working and if you have not noticed is very popular on here for a reason.
Its the most capable XBMC box you can get for the price.

The Chromebox thread is now up to 160 pages for that very good reason.

Next step down with an included remote would be an Amazon Fire TV.
