Definitely seems easier than figuring out intelligently where and how to place the lines. Smile

Looks great, but I am sort of looking forward to see what it would be with blurring and/or highlighting Smile

I'm just hoping you'll implement blurring into the skinning engine as it will allow skinners to do amazing things.

Looks good man, keep up the great work!

so i'm officially over my head adding blurring to guilib. does anyone know of any codebases that do something similar?

Android can do blur in their UI - not sure if this helps in looking up some algorythms or alike

Useless on a program that is written in c++ and is multiplatform

I was just thinking the algorithm not necessary using it directly

Blur isn't really especially necessary, right? You've already got each button highlighted, which is all you really needed in the first place. I'd say move on and don't worry about the blur as it's pretty much outside the scope at this point.

Yes, i agree with Nate.
The input GUI looks great, and is very usefull/simple.
I would say lets focus on making stable release for all platforms,
So early testers can find bugs in the core stuff.

And that way maybe get more attention from libretro developers.

Ha I was about to say this as well, isn't blur a bit of a sidetrack to getting retroplayer out Smile I always think the best way of developing is to get the basics running and merged first, then look at the "nice to haves" later on.

IMO there is nothing to say against some eyecandy for the more visual guys out there Smile But sure, it's not really required for retroplayer. The focus circle alone already does it's job - dimming or blurring the rest of the controller would improve usability though.
