i am running xbmc on a tronsmart vega s89h works great but i cant seem to get any of the pvrs to work . i have a hdhomerun dual for free to air tv i have managed (with the help of others) to get ota tv via xbmc, but would like the luxery of a pvr and epg function. has anyone done this? can anyone step me thru this?

There's basically two ways to go about this. One gets "close" to real PVR by using the IPTV Simple PVR add-on, either by using the UPnP feature in newer HDHomeRun units, or using the older STRM method. This will get you live TV with an EPG, but not recording, and takes some doing to get set up.

The other is to set this up with a full PVR backend application, which is how PVR is normally set up in XBMC/Kodi. Basically, a program running on another computer handles most of the PVR functions, and then XBMC/Kodi on your android box acts just as a front-end to that. For that, see our wiki: PVR (wiki).
