Apple reboots

My son enabled the live TV on my Apple TV2 and now we cannot get to watch movies, when I click on the XMBC tab it loads then I get a argus client connection fail error message the it automatically reboots the Apple TV. I can't get into the XMBC settings to shut it off, any answers

On your PC download CyberDuck (wiki) and make an "SFTP" connection to the IP address of the ATV2 (see iOS FAQ (wiki) for how to find the IP address if you do not know).

For username: root
For password: alpine

You will see a bunch of folders. You want to find your way to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/Database/

Then delete all files that start with "addons" and end in ".db".

This should reset argus to it's default, which is off. If that is the cause of your crash then you should be able to at least launch XBMC again. Then we can start to troubleshoot the cause of the crash.
