Automate Sleep when not using XBMC
#1
Hi,

I am using XBMC PVR for almost a year now and I am looking for a tool that can help me put my computer to sleep when certain conditions are met, i.e. when not playing video or browsing through media, watching or recording LiveTV, or one or both my other (linux) xbmc's around the house are not using the main HTPC to stream media from. Do you know about any application (for example like media standby tool) that can help me?

Have you tried the standard windows power settings in control panel?

Hi check this application

http://www.autostandbypro.com

It might have what you need. The only problem is that is not free but it does provide a 21-days trial with no restrictions so you can test it before buying.

You didn't mention which os your computer is running. If it's linux, you should try powernap. It's a ubuntu package, but I think you can compile it for any distribution.
