Hi
I new here and to XBMC and Kodi.
I see many old Xboxs at local thrift shops, so I wondering what models would I look for to put together an XBMC box?
Thanx

Don't use an old Xbox, buy yourself a mini-PC and call it a day. The old Xboxes can't even play 1080p video.

What? I've been watching these forums, admittedly sparsely, for the last couple of years and have never seen someone ask this before. Though supposedly this was why they renamed the software to KODI. Is this a joke based on that?

there are still people that bring it up, although the original xbox hasn't been supported in forever. there is a still a community over at xbmc4xbox.org.uk that is still active to my understanding.
for the record, during the original xbox's time, it was a nice little box that could handle quite a bit. obviously it's way underpowered by today's standards.

I run an old xbox, for a media centre its a carthorse but as been mentioned nip over to xbmc4xbox, from there you could learn how to soft mod it,or buy a 2nd hand chip, then install a larger Hdd and load it with CoinOPS.
I still use it weekly for retro gaming,
