3.2in screen raspi kodi
#1
I just got a 3.2 in screen that plugs into the GPIO pins on a raspi and would like to get kodi to work on it, I can get the screen to work but don't know how put kodi on the raspi without wiping out the img that makes the screen work, can this be done or did I waste my money?

You have to install it on top of Raspbian. It works and all, but performance takes a hit for a few reasons. For example, GPIO LCD screens require CPU power to render, and running on typical Raspbian is a little less tweaked for Kodi. It's still fairly usable, though.

Ok so how do I install on top of raspbian I am a Linux dummie. As far as performance goes, it is for the nightstand so it doesn't have to perform well just has to work.

Thanks for the help.

For fun I just set this up myself on my Pi and GPIO LCD screen. Let me know if you need any help. It works pretty well, actually.
