Image file resizing

Hey,

How does XBMC/KODI decide to lower poster/fanart image resolution? I was going through my files and saw that they had been made much smaller. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

The defaults are 720px tall for "thumbnails" and 1080px tall for fanart. See http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Reduce_disk...hed_images

Just increase the number, rather than decrease it. If you have a 1080 TV then you could just set thumbnails to 1080 (as fanart is already 1080) and then everything should theoretically be at "max".

Thank you!

I have all my movies in folders with the .nfo and the image files. When KODI imports these, does it copy them to the userdata folder and resize those? Because before it resized the original files in the folders with the movies. I have replaced them all with the higher resolution files and don't want to have to do it again Smile

Thanks in advance!!
