Guys, I'm not able to install a new Kodi release with adbFire 1.14 after upgrading the FireTV to the latest firmware! Is there any issue known with the latest Amazon firmware?
adbFire gets connected but the APK installation fails.

Did a try with the latest nightly builds from today and the Kodi RC3. All fail!

The actual installed Kodi release is: kodi-20141217-3d48584-Helix-armeabi-v7a.apk

I'm sure!!

It starts running, but after a few seconds it fails with error message "Install failed".

I did the process several times before without any problems (with FTV 51.1.4.1)

Not sure if there is a problem with adbFire, but you should probably ask the dev here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthre...?t=2786505

Alternately, you could try AGK Fire

You can just sideload them thru command prompt or what ever yourself

it seems that when you have a Kodi 15 alpha nightly already installed you cannot roll back to the Kodi 14 RC3.
Only upgrading Kodi 15 nightly with a newer nightly is possible.

Kodi team, can you confirm this?

Aren't you supposed to uninstall the current version first, but tick the box to keep the app data obviously, that's what I've always done?

Android normally doesn't allow to downgrade.
You have to uninstall first or use "adb -r -d ... "

No idea on what adbfire do.

Err... Downgrade = Moving an app to an earlier version. 15a1 -> 14rc3 is a downgrade.

ok, I did an uninstall and reinstall and now I'm back at 14RC3
