Hey all,

So, I've recently switched over to KODI from Mediaportal, and am using the Mediaportal back end for my TV. I've got a Hauppauge WinTV 2200 Card as my dual Tuner card, but I'm having some issues.

I've got everything tuned in, and it all seems to be working, but I don't get any HD quality on any channels. They're all SD. I don't think it's the reception, because I don't have any issues with my Digital TV, which is definitely producing HD.

I've looked everywhere through the Mediaportal TV server setup and also in the KODI settings, and nothing seems to change it at all. Can anyone provide some suggestions on where to start looking? Or should I ditch Mediaportal and try another back end?

That card looks like it only supports DVB-T.

You need a card that supports DVB-T2 in order to get HD channels, such as the following:

HD Channels work fine here (DVB-C). I cannot test DVB-T2 since we don't have it here in the Netherlands yet.

Do these channels work ok in MediaPortal itself?

Or... do you mean that all channels work, but that the video quality is poorer as in MediaPortal?
(e.g. visible horizontal striping on fast moving images). You might need to enable "Deinterlacing" in the video settings.
