Sorry newbie question here...Is there an online advancedsettings.xml generator?
If not, can someone create one? Perhaps inside the maintenance add-on?
I know there are a few xml files to use in the maintenance add-on, but obviously they don't work for everyone because there are so many different players all with different specs out there. I see all kind of posts throughout the web where people have difficulty with streaming.
My suggestion is a generator with drop down menus or radio buttons etc where the user can...
- input all the details specific to their player, operating system, space, ram etc.
- input his unique download speed based on his internet service provider
- the option to "0" cache (or different amounts) internally, or to external sd card etc for better performance for no lag etc.
- etc
In other words after inputting all the details in the generator it would then create the best script to use to optimise the streaming performance for that specific media player.
Does this make any sense? Can anyone create this generator for all to use?
