I hope I'm just being a dumb-ass, but i've scoured the options and see none to add actor/cast info to the media info screens. It seems a somewhat fundamental 'bit' of info to have in the screens... help...

Press "i" on a keyboard or "info" on a remote, or change "default select action" to "show info" in the settings. That will show all the movie info, including cast.

If the problem is that no actor info is appearing (silhoutted out) then do the following:
settings --> Video --> click on "Download Actor Thumbnails When Adding to Library"
May need to remove source and re-add.
If you are using a metadata application you need to ensure either it references the Actor Thumbnail as a URL or points to an .actors folder within the movie folder.

That setting is on by default, and it only applies to the pictures of actors, not to the information itself.
