As the title states kodi is now crashing on startup. It was working fine earlier, the only changes that have been made are...
New Wireless Router (was working fine with new router)
Attached Portable HDD to router (this is where all my media is stored(Again working fine after this point))
Set portable HDD to auto mount on boot in Ubuntu 14.04 (this is when the crashes started)

is there a crashlog in your homedir? Did you run apt-get dist-upgrade or installed only kodi?

sudo apt-get install gdb
and recrash it
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

You need to install the debugger, crash it again and see the stack trace in the log. It is not there as you can see.

Right at the top of the log you posted it says stack trace, end stack trace. This means you have no debugger installed. Fritsch told you to install gdb but you did not. Without it you will not get a stack trace which we need to see what is actually going on here.
