Linux Different volumes for DTS/DD/etc and stereo
#1
Hello everyone,

I have noticed that there are different volumes for DTS/DD/etc content vs normal stereo content.
Is there a way to normalize it?

It is really annoying when switching LiveTV, videos and similar and the volume is always different.

Disable passthrough.

We don't touch anything that we passthrough.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

So there is no possibility to set a fixed volume only for stereo streams?

I found out why Stereo sound is very loud in comparison to DTS/DD/etc.
I had enabled the Stereo Upmix, which results in this difference.

Is there the possibility to add there volume adjustment?

No - everything is as it should be. When AVR receives the passthrough signal it switches to its own processing values. Just don't use passthrough anywhere and all will be fine.
