Auto Suggest brings up Favorites and all the upnp server sources are in there, should they be?

Idk if it's skin related but upnp tv shows only plays "recently added" getting error mssg everywhere else. Upnp movies work fine.

I'll fix the favourites ASAP.

Re The UPnP sources - I do notice on my network, the one machine I want an OpenElec machine is very reluctant to show up in the list. Windows machine are always there. Quite often have to go to it and toggle the UPnP server option a couple of times. Thinking of maybe? a WakeOnLan option might help, probably put one in and we can all see if it helps - how often to ping is the decision.

All the UPnP TVShows options work for me, providing the machine is properly selected awake and all that. Can you explain a bit further which ones work or do not work for you.

[Edit] Another thing, what are you using as UPnP server ? ATM Only setup for Kodi - others eg:Windows have different paths to media selections. I have started collecting them, but long process.

Is there a way to stop the skin from auto updating? I have loaded a custom setup on a coupe of my friends sticks and my moms. The skin auto updated and wiped a couple of my backgrounds that I had on there. Is there a button to not auto update or a way to keep it from doing so? Thanks everyone.

Only the button for all addons in the side menu "Auto Update On" or disable the "Repo" after installing the skin.

If you want your own backgrounds etc, make a folder outside of the skins folder and then point to your stuff in there. Everything in the skins folder gets deleted and re-written during an update. As you noticed

I'm using Kodi 14.1 as the server, it does pick up my MB3 server but for this purpose it's Kodi

Idk that it's skin related because it's doing the same with Confluence, but here goes.

TvShows only play when I use "recently added" when I use any of the others it doesn't play. It won't even go into the shows to view episodes from the Title view. Here's part of the log

Re the Episode backgrounds - I'm undecided but on my 720p projector you can't really notice they're blurred and the views hide a large part of them, but on the plus side for me the episodes have unique backgrounds. Will have to wait and see other comments. You can turn them off in the side menu - when they're showing.

Uploading a Bugfix Update Fixed Fav window + new simpler UPnP browser, it's still got a manual search inside, which needs to come out eventually but for the moment it's nice to go and check if your server's not showing. Also added a WOL ping and timer - seems to help find servers, but jury is also still out on that one. While I was doing a timer I added an option to change the time on script.grab.fanart. It kicks off an error in the log, but the author said he would look.

Re the log. It would be better if someone who knows a bit more about networks etc helped out with it

I have a lot of movies in collections via the library, custom made collections, such as Marvel Comic Book Movies or Arnie, Stallone and Willis

Is there an addon or similar that would display more info of these in the library ?

There's nothing in CCM right now, TBH I don't have the time I used to, so don't try out all the latest and greatest addons. If you come across something - let us know. Behind on schedule on other addons I promised to include though

After CCM was automatically updated to the latest level it seems like something has gone wrong for me. I no longer have any of the background boxes or a mouse pointer. Everything looks like this:



I tried to reinstall but the same thing happens. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Looks like Textures.xbt in the media folder is corrupt

Uninstall the skin and in your "\Kodi\addons\" folder there is a directory called "packages" - Delete the zip file "skin.ccm.helix-3.0.12" from there.

While you're in "\Kodi\addons\" make sure there is no "skin.ccm.helix" folder left there after uninstalling, if there is - Delete it.

Now re-install.

Here's an answer to my UPNP Tvshows issue...

It's a very strange and semi-known issue. I've seen this myself several times, and I have been told that it is probably related to how Kodi handles TV show entries. For some reason, in certain combinations of server/client situations (I can't find a reliable pattern), TV shows nodes (TV show -> Season -> List) stop working because Kodi tries to "play" a season or other listing, rather than open it up. While movies and TV shows from "recently added" nodes work fine.

What's even weirder is that you can force TV shows to work by removing fanart for that TV show, although it still has a long pause to load the TV show listing.

Edit: Just tried it with MB3 as UPNP server and Tvshow titles work fine seems a little slower however

I have enabled "Suggested TV-Shows"-widget on Homescreen and it displays the Episode-jpg. Is there an option to display the TV-Show Thumb instead of the Episode-jpg?

Is there an option to disable the DVD/BR-Cover-Overlay in Fullscreen video info. I want to show only the Cover. In "Music", you can disable it.
