Win ISO or MKV
#1
Hey guys.

Im ripping my collection down and want your opinion.

Do you prefer ripping to ISO and then converting to an MKV or just keeping the ISO file and playing from that through KODI?

What are the advantages of either way?

Thanks.

I use all mkv's, usually with the iso's the menu's are included and I want to save space on my server, so I don't want any added features.

You can always use a program called mkvmerge and make an MKV out of all the VOB files from a DVD. That's if you're talking about DVDs.
If you have Blu-rays, then just pull out the largest M2TS file which usually works fine.
I took the easy way out years ago when ripping my DVD collection into digital. I just made all ISOs.
