data shown in infoscreens

Hi everyone,

I've started using Kodi a few months ago and got the basic information and fanart (as for your funny FAQ) right to work. But some fields shown in these infoscreens for movies or series I can't figure out.
Here are some screenshots and the corresponding nfo-file I used for input. Some hints are greatly appreciated.

1. What need to be filled for this YEAR to be shown in the first screenshot? It's a tv show and the year as well as the (first) aired date has been provided by tvshow.nfo. The TV-Show-details also doesn't state the first aired date and the year as well (what's expected here I assume Wink).

2. The media-flagging is great, but I couldn't figure out the fifth icon from left? It's showing "SDTV", "DVD Video" or "BluRay" in my case. But how is it determined which one to show? I've all my DVD-Media encoded with H265 and the media-stream section is allways <codec>hevc</codec> as shown in the above code. But yet the tv-show episode is shown as "SDTV" and one movie, that's as well as the episode in H265 and codec hevc, is shown as "DVD Video" in the screenshot below.

Here the year as is shown correctly by the way.

3. But do you know how to provide the country to be shown? I had not been able to find any nfo-example to do this.

Thanks in advance for any tip,
Holger

1. the 'premiered' tag will fill both 'year' and 'first aired':
Code:
<premiered>16.10.2000</premiered>

2. the fifth icon is the video-source. for episodes, this will always be a TV-rip.
depending on the resolution of the video, it can be either 'HD-TV' or 'SD-TV'.

for movies, the source can either be a DVD, a Blu-ray disc or HD-DVD (not commonly used).
again, the resolution and also the file extension is used to the determine the source of the video.[/code]

3. simply use the 'country' tag in your nfo file:
Code:
<country>USA</country>

Hi ronie,

thanks for the hints, I'll adjust the nfo files accordingly.

I'm fine with the video-source icon, just curious, but it's good to know the difference here between movies and series. Blush
