Upgrading to Kodi
#1
I upgraded to Kodi using the terminal commands.

Now i see both XMBC and Kodi on my Apple TV.

And in Kodi none of the addons or setting from XBMC are imported. Is that something that has to be done manually?

On the OS X version, the settings were automatically migrated.

Can someone please clarify? and it needs to be migrated manually which folders or files need to be copied?

Thanks!

Figured it out.

Looks like on ATV2, the upgrade doesn't copy the files.

You need to copy the files from the XBMC directory to the KODI directory, and make sure you change the ownership to the user "mobile".

After this it works perfectly.

Then something was wrong ... because the apt-get install org.xbmc.kodi-atv2 should have migrated the userdata automatically ... (you should have seen some errrors if this has not worked). It might also be a problem if you had some alpha versions installed before where the app still was named "XBMC" but already used a /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/Kodi folder.

At least the intension was there to migrate the data automatically - we really tried hard to do it right.
