Not really sure whether here is exactly the right place to post this question, so apologies if it is wrong.

I am currently running Helix V14.0 Stable Release with no problems.

My question is whether there will definitely be a V14.0 Final Release to look forward to or whether we shall need to wait for the release of V14.1 following the current development as described by Ned.

Also, even though my lack of ability would prevent me from participating in that development would it be worth my while actually to use the latest V14.1 build?

There already is a 14.0 final - you're almost certainly using it if you're on Stable.

14.1 is due as an interim bugfix. If you're having problems, give it a go and help test; if everything is working fine, I wouldn't bother.

Many thanks for your reply, Prof Yaffle.

I just wonder why the Stable Release build of V14.0 I am using is termed "dirty" in System Info. This seems to imply there would be another build, or is this a wrong interpretation?

Don't mind the dirty. Not sure where that comes from

OK, thanks for that reply, I can now say that I am using the definitive Helix V14.0.

One more question, please.

I presume I could download V14.1 directly over V14.0 but if I wanted to go back to V14.0 would your Stable Release download successfully install itself over V14.1?

I would assume that you have installed Kodi from a third-party.
It would be best to install from XBMC/Kodi: http://kodi.wiki/view/Installing

If in doubt, back up your config first. Yes, it should be reversible with a minor version change, but if there are any (significant) config changes as you go from 14.0 to 14.1 wouldn't necessarily revert cleanly.

To dnairb,

Thanks for your reply. I have always used the official sites from Kodi for any download but it seems not to be a big problem.

To Prof Yaffle,

Thanks for your reply. I understand fully what you say.
