Yep, what MassIV said! While your system is a reasonably low speced PC, it's still light years ahead of say a Raspberry Pi. So a setting that makes a big difference to the Pi may make little or no difference to the PC. Unless you are seeing issues still I would not bother messing with the setting, as any gain you see is likely to be fairly small.
