The roadmaps I've seen map the Skylake platform with an i5 processor for Q4 of 2015, meaning I'd probably have to wait until January to get a system. Retailers in Europe take their sweet time.

I've done my homework, just need some reassurance. The i5 model has no problems with 1866MHz memory, right?
In fact, seems like many tests show an improvement when using 1866 instead of 1600.

Go to the Intel website and check what the maximum recommended memory frequency is. I think it is only 1600MHz from memory.

If Intel says it can handle 1866 memory, then throw some in. You'll need to get 1866MHz memory then enable the XMP profile within the BIOS to get full speed.

I can't believe how small these things are!!! Mine just arrived, seriously stoked. Put the RAM and SSD in just to find out that in don't have the correct HDMI cable. Need to go and buy a HDMI to HDMI mini cable.
And I didn't think through how I'm going to install an OS on it. Because I don't have a HDMI TV. Will use the TV as a monitor. And connect my wireless mouse and keyboard to the NUC. Is this normal procedure
