Hi all,

Anyone got the Hisense H7 55" TV running VIDAA. It's a jelly bean(4.2) based android OS TV. http://www.hisense-usa.com/tvs/H7/55/51

I already installed Kodi on it and got it going with my NAS (Network Attached Storage) setup...

Anyway, hoping to get some insights on video stuttering issue.

My question is how come my TV+Kodi stutters when playing x264/720p vids? I ask this because when I have the combo of TV+MX Player+DTS Audio codec...the video plays fine....So this tells me that the hardware of my TV can handle it...yet for some reason when doing it through KODI...video stutters....

I've tried the tips in http://kodi.wiki/view/Android_FAQ#Perfor...choppiness ..but couldn't fix the stuttering...

Hardware accelaration enabled ? (Under settings - video )
Try disabling mediacodec too

Have to say android os on TV is cool…
And with Android TV hitting Sony tvs soon… this could catch up

Also try SPMC too

Can you get us a debug log (wiki) of when you play a video?

ah..i should have gotten the debug...but too late now..already returned TV...will get a different TV and have combo of TV+RaspPI+OpenELEC...thanks

i would have waited but is not happy with TV purchase (not caused by KODI)..did not wait cause of that..not because i did not get answer
