I am running xbmcbuntu frodo with running on ubuntu 12.10. I am trying to install the chrome launcher that launches chrome is kiosk mode. (I know kodi 14 is the new stable release but I have old hardware and want to avoid headaches)
I tried installing chrome from the terminal using:
cd /tmp && wget -c https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/googl...t_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb
sudo apt-get -f install
but typing google-chrome won't run a browser. Typing whereis google-chrome responds with google-chrome:
figuring I botched the chrome install I tried to find chromium so I could changed the path in the chrome launcher to launch chromium.
I typed whereis chromium. I get chromium: as the result.
Does chromium have a kiosk mode? Where is the default location?
Is there an easier way to install chrome in xbmcbuntu?
thanks in advance
