I'm running my HDMI thru 7.1 surround on my mac
all channels are working properly but in 2 channel mixes the dialog goes to lett and right and no surround output
i've tried setting my amp to PRO logic but it won't allow it in 8 ch hdmi mode

anyone know how to fix this?

What's to fix? Its 2 channel audio and sounds like components are doing wht they should.

As far as i know there is nothing you can do in kodi or your mac to duplicate the l/r audio to the surrounds. Some receivers have various dsp settings to do this. But i dont think pro logic would do it.

Well not sure which version you use. There is an upmix stereo option which should work in your case. Or you have to set XBMC/Kodi to 2.0 speakerlayout and activate passthrough (you will only get 5.1 sound max) - this would allow your amp to do pro logic because only 2 channels are transfered, not 8 (which kinda block pro logic in the amp).
