KodiBuntu 14 64 bit and GRUB problem
#1
Greetings all.

I have a problem. I've installed Kodibuntu 14 64 bit, I've downloaded image yesterday and burned it to DVD. During installation I've checked to install upgrades, also, after installation I've done 'sudo apt-get update' and 'upgrade' commands. And since then I'm stuck with GRUB menu after boot. No timeout, nothing. Grub Config looks OK to me, nothing out of the ordinary:

Code:
GRUB_DEFAULT=0
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
GRUB_TIMEOUT=10
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian`
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=keep
GRUB_RECORDFAIL_TIMEOUT=0

What to do? Hmmm...

Code:
ivan@BORG-KODI:~$ sudo update-grub
Generating grub configuration file ...
Warning: Setting GRUB_TIMEOUT to a non-zero value when GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT is set is no longer supported.

Will try to setup timeout to 0 and reboot (when the child stops watching cartoons), but I am not sure this is the problem... will see. In the meantime, where to look? I have full shell access to the box, so I can investigate.

It didn't help, obviously. What to do?

Install Kodibuntu 32 bit, that's what to do. Couldn't solve the problem, it's some old bug on Ubuntu.

I also tried to install 64bit from pindrive, never got into booting, but 32bit just worked! Not sure if it is related to what hlloyge writes too!
