Linux 2.4GHz Wireless Remote problem in Kodi
#1
I have been using both a Wireless Keyboard FSQ-FK760 and a Wireless Media Remote FSQ-RM518 with XBMC on Linux Mint 17. Since upgrading to Kodi some of the buttons on both devices have stopped working. I have trawled the forum and Googled the problem but the solutions have all been to do with editing the Keyboard.xml file (which I have tried) either directly or using the installed Keymap editor. This will not work as the key presses of the non-operational keys are not recognised. The linux tool "evtest" has told me that there are two event ID's associated with each of these devices and all the keys that don't work are on the same event ID.

What I need to know is: what has changed, as regards remote controls, between XBMC and Kodi and how can I get Kodi to recognise the second event ID in order to get these buttons working again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and a solution will avoid me having to roll back to XBMC.
