I just installed server wmc and it has got a lot better since I last tried it. Using DLNA has made channel changing much faster which was by biggest issue. The EPG seems to be lacking some of the information from WMC like the movie star rating. Is there a way to implement this?

It also does not have the parental rating.

I had to go back and refresh my memory about this since you are the first to ever ask about it. Kodi does have a star rating for guide entries, and we send it back to kodi when it asks for guide data, we convert from wmc's 8-level star rating to kodi's 5 levels. I can't recall if this is displayed in any kodi skin. Is it?

I don't see a star rating anywhere and I also don't see the parental rating or content such as adult language, nudity and so forth. I also don't see the images from the WMC guide such as the movie case.

First off, we don't control the user interface, we only give pvr data to kodi, it does the displaying. You might see what you want if you change your skin.

1. Star rating: as I said, kodi had a field for this and so does wmc, so we provide it.
2. Parental rating: we provide this data to kodi too. But to be honest, I have never investigated whether the rating system wmc uses is the same as kodi, I just gave kodi what wmc had. This should probably be investigated more, but your also the first person to ask about this too.
3. Adult language, nudity. so forth - this data is available in wmc but kodi doesn't support it. You can take it up in the pvr developement forum if you are so inclined. The only thing we could do for this in swmc is append this type of data either to the program title or the description. Maybe that's not a bad idea actually, we could have an optional for turning it on.
4. Program images for the wmc guide we also send to kodi and they work for me. However in confluence they only show up current in the recordings list (at least in gotham). See this other active thread in this forum for more info: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=186486

Can you suggest a theme? I have tried all of them available in kodi and none of them showed this data.

No I can't, I have never gone looking for it. If you have tried all the skins, then the problem is either that no skin developer supports it, or kodi doesn't save the data in the pvr database, even though they ask for it.

But that's only for star and parental rating. The program images should be working. Are you really not seeing them in the recordings list for shows that have images in wmc?

I am not using recordings. That's not something I do very often. I was referring to the epg guide. In wmc you see the program images but in kodi all it has is the channel logo if one exist.

I have actually decided to return to using wmc because there is no rw or ff when using dlna and the other method seems a bit too slow. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, that's why don't use dlna either. I hope kodi fixes this sometime.
