Issue with ATI video card & DXVA
#1
Hello,
I tried to upgrade from XBMC (working flawlessly) to KODI last week.
Had an issue playing H.264 video, got the green screen bug with sound.

The only "solution" I've found so far is to disable the hardware acceleration, but without this option, I can't read a 1080p and event 720p are not perfect. Is there a way to change that, a driver or a fix ?

My config:
Shuttle XS35GS V3L (Intel NM10 Express, AMD Radeon HD 7410M)
Windows 7

Thanks in advance,
W.

Try the 14.1 testing build NedScott has linked.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Ok, so I've tested the 14.1 as you advised, and there is no change.
I have a green screen and sound each time I try to play a h264 file. If I disable the hardware acceleration, I have an image, but the framerate is too low (around 14fps for a 1080p) and this is not an acceptable solution.

Note that if I reinstall XBMC 13.2 right after, all the video files have a flickered framerate (according to the OSD, 24fps, but the videl doesn't feel smooth), I have to overwrite the settings with the version I had backup when everything was fine.

Back to XBMC 13.2 now, and everything works fine, but it's sad I can't use the latest version nor airplay.
