Any other idea how to get the native resolution? The odd thing is that it actually used to work some months ago and I have no idea what is different since then.

From here:
Code:
Group CEA has 6 modes:
(native) mode 1: 640x480 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:25MHz progressive
mode 2: 720x480 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:27MHz progressive
mode 3: 720x480 @ 60Hz 16:9, clock:27MHz progressive
mode 4: 1280x720 @ 60Hz 16:9, clock:74MHz progressive
mode 17: 720x576 @ 50Hz 4:3, clock:27MHz progressive
mode 18: 720x576 @ 60Hz 16:9, clock:27MHz progressive

Group DMT has 4 modes:
mode 4: 640x480 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:25MHz progressive
mode 9: 800x600 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:40MHz progressive
mode 16: 1024x768 @ 60Hz 4:3, clock:65MHz progressive
mode 81: 1366x768 @ 60Hz 16:9, clock:85MHz progressive

9 is 800x600 and 16 is 1024x768. If you want 720p then try:
Code:
hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=4

Thanks, got it. What do you think would be the "best" resolution / mode from above? Mode 9, 16 or maybe 4 (assuming it works, which I need to check). Any other ideas whether I can get native resolution to work? Given it used to work in the past, the television must somehow be capable to do so.

Just gave it a try. Proposed 720p option works. However, part of the screen is outside the visible area of the screen. I can probably use the calibration function of Kodi to fix this though.

Please keep me posted what "resolution / mode" gives the best quality and whether any chance to get the native resolution?
