MP4 Files (TV-Show Season) not scraped?
#1
Hi there

I have a strange issue here.
I have the TV Show Big Bang Theory. 6 Seasons are scraped by XBMC without problem. Season 7 and 8 are beeing ignored somehow.
All seasons are named in the same naming convention:
The.Big.Bang.Theory.S07E01.mp4

They are located in individual folders with the name "Season 1" / "Season 2" etc.

The only difference between Season 1-6 and Season 7+8 is the filetype. 1-6 = mkv / 7+8 = mp4

I think, somehow the mp4 files are just ignored. Does anybody know why?

I'm not running Kodi yet, but I don't think that would matter at all.
In the folder settings, the scraper is also correctly set. I have not clue how to fix it.

I can also access and watch the shows through the file menu.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it knows the episodes are there, since somewhere in the logfiles it says it can't find episodes if i remove them from my nas and perform a scan.

Glasofuix: You need to enable debug logging.

edit, sorry my bad, second log has it.

tvdb seems to be down for right now

It's not a problem with tvdb as other tv shows get scrapped fine.

Hi helta
Here is the log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=399127

I see now for myself that errors appear in the log
ERROR: VideoInfoScanner: Asked to lookup episode smb://SILVERNAS/NAS-Disk-1/TV-Shows/The Big Bang Theory [720p]/Season 8/The.Big.Bang.Theory.S08E01.HDTV.x264-LOL.mp4 online, but we have no episode guide. Check your tvshow.nfo and make sure the <episodeguide> tag is in place.

I did not create the nfo files myself for this tv show. I let XBMC scrape the shows. So why do the 2 seasons not get included?

Not exactly sure. I'm not a dev so just trying to help out.

So you are sure there is not a .nfo sitting in your SILVERNAS/NAS-Disk-1/TV-Shows/The Big Bang Theory [720p] folder? Do you use Sabnzbd or NZBDrone?

No, there is a nfo file there, but as far as I remember it was created by XBMC... but now as I think about it, probably it was created a while ago by Ember Media Manager.
So do you think that because there is a nfo file, the last 2 seasons are left out of scraping? What would you advice, just delete the nfo file?
I haven't used Ember in a while because XBMC does a great job lately scraping the stuff itself Big Grin

Just rename it to tvshow.bak and see if it makes a difference on the next scan.

refresh? How do I do that? I just choose to scan it again. Or do you mean removing it completely first?
