I'm pretty close to having my MythTV backend and clients working perfectly. However, I have hit one snag.

If I try to schedule a series recording for only new episodes of Modern Family (9PM EST on ABC), it is also adding a timer for a rerun that shows later that night @ 10:30pm. Is this more of a Schedules Direct issue not marking the show as a repeat? Is there any info I can provide?

What exactly is your recording rule? This may be something you can fix in mythweb

WOW...that MythWeb is pretty damn cool. I had no idea.

All I did was select Client Actions --> Record all new episodes (this channel).

EDIT: OK, in the advanced settings for the series recording, I checked off New Episode (as well as First Run which was already checked) and the dupes dropped off.
