HI,

just got my device connected to my tv.
its not in 1080 hd, nor is full screen, I have black bars on all four sides.

anyone help me with this?

JeepGirl.. go to settings and scroll to either Display or Screen .. ca't remember which one from top of my head.. it will give you option to adjust to you tv screen.

Thanks I got it... But apparently it wasn't the machine lol it was my tv.

Is there a way to do a search for a movie or show, without having to go through all the add ons to see if they have them?

That's good you got it working.. As far as the search for movies-shows.. The only way it is going into the Add-on. Just few more clicks until you find what you want.. hehehe..

Think you can help me out again lol

On genesis, when I go to search, there is no keyboard to type in what I'm looking for on the screen.

In genesis go to search there you will have options movies, TV etc once you highlight any of those keypad should appear, if not then sorry can't help good luck

That what I was doing, the search box comes up, but where the keyboard should be it's black.
I can type from the app on my phone at least.

To get the keyboard back you need to switch to a skin that is compatible with Kodi. I also suggest you take a look here before this topic gets binned.
