No sound through XMBC-HTS-PVR-Addon
#1
Hello everybody!

I've got some problem with HTS PVR addon, when I start playing any TV channel there is no sound, video is OK. I've also tried to play the TV channels by the WEB and VLC, everything is fine (Audio, Sound).

XBMC version (Kodi) - 5:14.0-dmo2
HTS PVR Plugin - 3.9.2389~g7006b9f (I've also check with 5:14.0-dmo2 from deb-multimedia)
HTS Tvheadend version - 3.9.2389~g7006b9f
OS - Debian GNU/Linux 8.0 (jessie)
Kernel - 3.16.0-4-amd64

Recorded TV chanel plays properly with video and sound. And it doesn't matter where was record was started (HTS Web, XBMC, or Android app)

Please look at the log where XBMC and VLC subscribed:

You could try this....
Remove the HTS PVR Plugin and try the new pvr.tvh plugin which has actually replaced the one you are using:

http://stalin.negge.fi/files/pvr.tvh/

The linux-i486 is the 32bit plugin and linux-x64+64.zip is the linux 64 bit version.

Hi,
Thank you for reply.
I've tried to install PVR.TVH from link provided by you and from github https://github.com/adamsutton/xbmc-pvr-addons (0.9.8). But I've got the same result, there is no sound. May be additionall information help to solve it:
Tvheadend channel is a HTTP stream, audio stream is an MP3.

Well, I fixed it by transcoding audio stream chanched sample frequency from 44.1 KHz to 48 KHz. It was achieved by experiment and I realy don't inderstand why XBMC can't receive original audio stream?

The tvheadend addon is not designed to handle any kind of stream, it only handles codecs that are actually used in real life TV broadcasts. MP3 is not such a codec, that's why Kodi won't play it. Like you said, transcoding to MP2 or AC3 does the trick.

Hi, everybody! I'm having exactly the same issue as xenos1303 in the first post but have no idea how to setup transconding. I see no options for that in pvr addon settings.
xenos1303, how did you manage to handle it?
