I installed on OSX 10.6.8... it's crashing right after the splash screen.
v13.x used to work just fine.
* Btw, same problem on 14.1

SOLVED:

0. Delete KODI from the app folder
1. Go to OSX Finder > Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/
2. Rename the Kodi folder
3. Restart your machine
4. Reinstall & start Kodi
