Hello peeps,

I have recently installed Openelec on my Pi and I am having an issue playing back some files. In this instance it is an MKV file which I know is just a container file. I have also experienced this playing AVI files too.


Having looked at the logs, I have a permission denied error:

I can open other video files on this share, however on the Season 3 folder, I can't get any episodes to play. Season 1, I can, but the permissions to these folders and files are inheroted from the top share, where the permissions is read only.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

P.S I wasn't sure if this should be in the Pi sub Forum or the general one??

Reset "Everyone" permission to replace on all child objects. All working now. i hope someone finds this useful
