I'm currently running all my menu items as links to smart playlists. Unfortunately the playlist background option only shows backgrounds in a particular order (not randomly) and if I flick between menu items they will reset so I'm always looking at the same backgrounds for each menu item. Because of this I'm going through the arduous task of creating a whole new folder for background images which I am copying fanart to and to make a long fiddly process long and fiddlier not all the fanart is stored in the movie/tv show folder and so I have to fish around in the userdata folder for the right one which can take a LONG time. What I'm wondering is, is there an easier way to finding the location of a particular fanart file?

I think maybe texturecache can do that for you.

Thanks, Ill have a look into it although I think I've found the solution anyway. I'm going direct to the source and just searching the website of thetvdb, etc to get the fanart straight from there.
