What version is latest tvheadend addon?
#16
Why would my tvheadend say version 4.3.12? It also says in Summary Version 3.9.2675? Do I need to replace the version I have installed?

TVheadend HTSP Client is v2.1.7

I'm using Millhouse's testbuild #404 from here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=...pid1974365 and installed tvh from the unofficial repo.

I am still switching between both, but I am not sure which to use.

Furthermore there are two repositories, which one to choose?
https://github.com/adamsutton/xbmc-pvr-addons or https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc-pvr-addons

In the first one Adam Sutton seems to be more active.

For Helix: use pvr.tvh from adamsutton
For Isengard and newer: use the official addon from kodi-pvr/pvr.hts

4.3.12 is the Openelec package version, it is unrelated to tvheadend itself. The version in the summary is the actual version.

Ah, thanks. Still confused why other people have v0.9.8 though, as that's quite a way off v3.9.2675!

0.9.8 is the addon version, not tvheadend's.

Hey negge

It would be great to see autorec functionality included in the official client builds, what do you think?
From here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=217127

I didn't see anywhere better to post this request, is there a preferred place?

thx

It's coming once support for it is merged into Kodi itself, though it looks like it won't be ready for the next release.

Hey thanks for your response.

The link I pointed to seems to be a pretty good approximation if we're talking about a year and a half until the next next release, isn't it a good enough option for the time being to have some type of autorec?

Oh yeah, I missed that. It's possible that it gets integrated, though I can't say for sure yet.

Hi,

I have upgraded my Windows 8.1 Kodi box to Isengard beta 1.

I now have two TVH/HTS plugins: versions 0.9.8 and 2.1.7.

Am I correct in assuming that 2.1.7 is the newest and/or best version for Isengard? And 0.9.8 is a remnant of my previous Helix installation? Thanks guys.

(Why I want to know this is because I still have problems with getting timeshifting to work properly with skipping and fast forwarding. No point in making bug reports with old versions I guess.)

Yes, 0.9.8 is the old one from Helix, you should remove it.
