I want to implement something same, but I am running kodi on xbox and for lights I'm using Hyperion. Currently I'm using LedFx on my windows laptop to play songs with effects. My main music library is hosted on a local server which I listen to through kodi and having this feature for that will be awesome. I can help in testing and some basic programming.
